Operation Christmas Child Canada - Calgary 5.41

Through Operation Christmas Child, Canadians have the privilege of filling empty shoe boxes with school supplies, toys, hygiene items, and a personal note. Each shoe box gift from Canada is then given to a child in need in Latin America, West Africa, and Haiti.

When culturally appropriate, an illustrated Bible storybook is offered to children in their local language (children do not have to accept the book in order to receive a shoe box gift). When possible, children can further explore the love of Jesus Christ through a voluntary Bible study program called "The Greatest Journey."

Since 1993, more than 100 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered to children across the globe.
